Loved every session with Richard. I've always been into fitness but felt like I was at a standstill with my body shape and had zero confidence to use the gym, especially alone. Richard has given me the confidence to use the gym alone as well as attend classes. One of them being kettle bells which Richard takes, my favourite class as he keeps it challenging and fun.
Richard put together a great fitness plan for me and I'm am so so pleased and proud of the results. Thank you Richard!
Richard is great at what he does. Before I began personal training with Richard I absolutely dreaded it. Being deeply unhappy with my body and weight I dreaded the thought of the equipment and the environment etc but Richard very quickly put me at ease and made the sessions enjoyable. He is a really lovely guy, cares about his clients progress and does a fab job putting together fitness plans to suit all abilities. I'd recommend him as a trainer to everyone.
Richard Lawes became my personal trainer about 5 years ago, I was nervous going to the gym at first because of my size, but Richard soon encouraged me and put me at ease. After one year I had a weight loss of 70lbs (went from 15st.3lbs to 10st.3lbs) through the training and healthy eating plan devised by Richard. This has made such a difference to my life and I am now a much more confident, happier and healthier person armed with so much knowledge regarding training and nutrition to go forward with a healthy lifestyle – all taught to me by Richard, who put my body into positions I couldn’t have imaged reaching before training!
Richard is a kind, very knowledgeable person with an interesting yet fun approach to personal training (he won’t let you get away with anything!). He will set up a programme specifically for you, push you when needed and will stick with you through all the hard work and ups and downs. There are so many rewards and benefits of being healthier and fitter when you reach your goals, pushed on by Richard, and go from a dress size 20/22 to 12!
I have since every year had 3 – 6 months personal training with Richard each January to get me back into shape, help with definition and make me stronger. He trained me hard through all the dark Winter months into the light Summers - I am now reaping the benefits as a slimmer, healthier and happier me because of my personal training sessions with Richard – I am now living a wonderful life having moved to sunny Paphos, Cyprus, the new slimmer me at 65. I highly recommend Richard as a Personal Trainer – he will take you on quite a journey and you will learn so much about yourself.
I have had PT sessions with Richard for years now and it’s been worth every penny. He brings enthusiasm and structure to every session and I feel that I am always working towards a goal rather than just going through the motions of exercise.

Before Going with Richard I had trained for several years and thought I pretty much knew everything, after starting to get several injuries and being unable to train tidy I contacted Richard who was able to go through a plan with me.
The knowledge Richard has is endless and the mistakes I was making that inevitably caused my injuries I was able to correct! I will 100% use Richard again the the future and start another plan!
I reached out to Richard as I was really struggling to lose any weight after having my daughter. The postpartum period was tough for me and I certainly didn’t “bounce” back.
